So today I had a lot to do. I had to take my drawing 1 portfolio with the sketch book, so I was up late last night getting it all together. Alan drove me to the train, we joked and had fun on the way, so it was a good start to my day. I got my monster and a bag of white cheddar popcorn and went to class, late, but i've been later. Started my final drawing in ink wash, and was done before some people. I took multiple breaks to let it dry. It wasnt awesome, I messed it up a bit. Oh well. Still wasnt horrible.
Then came the school art show. 2 pieces of mine were in. I really disliked my drawing 1 submission, it was one done in the begining of the 2nd 1/2 of the semester, so I as still having issues getting everything in and drawing 3d rectangles (lol). BUT! The school bought my 2D design piece! YAY!!! (thats the yay!) I got a book, a ribbon, a pin, a few pens pencils eraser, and of coarse a check for my piece. Woot!!!
That makes 2 sold! AND this will be hung IN the school, always to be seen by passer byers (sp?). *dances* I didn't win anything as far as catagories go, but I did get paid. Hehehe. It was so awesome. Aj and Annette were there too (Alan's grandparents) when I won (Alan too). They took us out to this nice mexican resturant then Annette and I have gone to a few times before. I got a celebration margarita.
Anywhos. I really didn't think I'd win anything, there were so many good pieces in the show, so I was a bit surprised when my name was called. But at the same time I had a small inkling. The way my art teacher and previous art teacher were talking about the art show and me going. The one was talking to a group of people but mainly was looking at me, and the other asked me to go few times. I found out later that the one knew, so I beleive the other did as well. Lol. Woot for being able to read people? Still, I was surprised because I was trying not to think too much about all that.
So yeah. Awesome day!
